Extreme fans
sorry guys, i would have to mention some names, please dont be offened! i will be nice.....
1) Most hard working fan: webby!!!!!!! i have to say! being a IT/webmaster is not that easy! running marat;s offical website is full of her love! the web is running with love i have to say, more than 8000 fans there, she is like a hosting family (mum's rule--English and send love to Marat) we are like a small country, she is certainly the prisident, yes sir! yes Madam!
2) Most infomative: Alexandra!from stats to weather, order of play and answering questions..... she is one of the sweetest lady on earth! and so nice and friendly and helpful!her blog from Portuguese gives me tips on writing sth to express ur love to Marat! i guess she must be the most beautiful lady in portugal with kind heart!she is so dedicate to Marat! trying so hard to make the forum nice and clear! Thanks and Abrigado!
3) Most logical: JS--short name just 2 letters!!!!!!!!! i am so tipped it is HE not a SHE (sorry if u r a lady) a Moscovite! Typically one! Sorry JS i mean a postive side of Moscovite, confident, informative and smart! certainly a Russia way to express his expertise! he is like en expert of Marat, i call that Maratologist (expert in marat) and tennisologist, u can ask almost everything technically and he can answer everything, looks like he stolen marat's heart and all smart ppl's brain, all his analysis are very sensible and logic, we all need ppl like u Comerade....
4) Most touchy fan: i have to say its my own grandma Olga who is turning 86 next month...tragically she lost her vision 3 yrs ago, but she never missed a single Marat's match! either listening from the radio or mp3 format that my cousin download it for her or listen to the video record that my uncle collected.... she never miss one! she cant see by her eyes but she does WATCH marat by heart!a love from a 86 years old lady...grandma Olga
5) Most expressive: Arjen---i tipped he is an Italiano....... typically mediteriano, telling great stories and so good writing his own feeling, never hestine to share his emotions to other fans! Thanks for that, they all true emotions, keep going.... great on ya..ciao..
6) FUnnist---Leigh Ignorevich (Moscow) ---he made me laugh and rolling on the ground! he sounds like a gypsy, talking in terms of betting and perdicting the number... well 3--2 for DC semis was correct... i hope all ur postive perdict will all come to true.... doesnt sound too Moscovite but keep going Mr Gypsy!
7) Most spiritual--madonna--- interesting! she /he would cheer for Marat in terms of tarot cards and chakrat healing etc... so funny... i wish ur spiritualality helps Marat to go everywhere he wishes !thanks!
8) most easy going--Dimka from Bulgaria! believe me, she agrees with anything positively posted! nice of her... life will be a lot more harmony if everyone has a friend like you! thank u
9) Numeric--i d vote for Jacasam----he is such a numeric person, most of his post associated with numbers, i believe he watched live score a lot and sharing all the scores with us! Thanks mate, i bet u r great on mathmatics

I think Marat means the whole world to me, at least since 1998, this beautiful young Tatar/Russian man is truely touched my heart with his beautiful personality, an interesting charactor as well as his excellent tennis skill...
1) Living like a farmer/ IT bloke!!!!! well, i dont grow veggies and i am suck with Computer...BUT my life is like a famer and IT bloke sometimes! thanks to Marat and his tennis! Living in AUstralia, means, if the match plays in Europe, i will need to stay late at the night say (from 11pm) onwards, till 3am or so in the morning....plus my long working day, i really live like an IT bloke, most of European matches i have to ''watch'' on score board on my PC, sitting infont of my PC and watch it till early in the morning.... if the mtach playes in North America, means i need to wake up 3-4am in the morning, like a famer, watch his match till 7 am or so, wash my face and drive to work... during all these... i'd sitting in front of my PC watch live score, bite my nails untill none else i can bite and imagine Marat's smile and victory, feeling his muscular movement...
2) Breaks working rules: working as Immunologist, measn i have no way to access internet except checking regular work Emails .... BUT>>>> i have excuse, i am Marat safin;s fan... god, u dont know how much i hate computer, but now it is the only way or major way for me to get Marat's news: At work, 1st thing in the morning, would be check on this website instead of checking work-emails, and will re-log in this web for at least 10 times a day as long as i can get a computer access (even i am not surpose to do it at work any way :))last thing leave work would be check Marat;s news again..... At home, i would log onto my PC and check Marat''s news again before sleep...during the day,if i feel there is Marat's news , i would take my lap top to the tea room, pertending to have a small tea break and i will use my wireless to check what;s going on to marat!
3)bloody frequent flyer loved my mobile phone company: i am certainly a frequen flyer, most airlines love me....running clinical trials means i have to travel from one country to another...when i have to travel from one country to another as part of work, i would make my bf send me marat's score of the match as soon as i landed to a foreign land.... 1st thing i ring up my brother would be a topic about Marat, whether he wins a match or a new hair cut or even smash a chair.. imagin how many messages we would spent on international TXT, countless!
4)Interaction: both positive and ridiculus way! I have a friend, i knew her since i were 6, i had always trying to explain her why Marat is a better tennis player than Hewitt (least popular in Australia) and Roger!! she got a phD in math,to all she knows is the ranking! numbers!i have to explain her ranking doesnt mean anything, marat was out from injury etc...... ahhh, its good that i kept in touch with her in a cat fighting way....LOL i might lots of interesting people on my way for clinical trials..... i watched Marat's USOPEN 2006 in 4 different places (4 rounds), i met lots of other Marat's fans, from all age groups: in London-- there is a small russian community and they watch all marat's matches in the pub, the '' ring leader'' is named Sergiy, yeah, i own him a beer so i have to mention him... and same as Russian community in Argentina with the leader is named sasha (Alexander), everytime i am there i would find them, in Melbourne Australia, there is about 3ooo russians and 5000 russian speakers, Marat was voted top 10 famous russian man , with lots of Russo--Aussies, Marat is one of the connection for us to keep checking russian news.
5) United--Doesnt matter who u r, where u r from, what color u r, you are safin's fan, you are wonderful! he untied all the fans all over the world! i remember Leigh from marat's web posted" when ever i am in a foreign country, people ask me hey u r russian and u must know marat safin' i feel extra pround'! i am sure if two safin fans dealing bussiness,it will be very harmony, a man and woman might fall in love because of marat safin! when marat is playing, that moment, we dont have black and white,we all green!!!!!!!1 like the tennis ball, we go whereever safin hits us to go..... we are with him for ever....
6)expose russian culture: u have to admit that marat made people know more about russia and russian people! i think fans here would at least know some russian works (like hello, thank u, good luck, i love marat) ...for me, my family is russian, it kept me practising my russian language and stay in touch with our culture... my mum even seriously saying i MUST speak russian only if Russia wins Davis cup this year (2006)... i doult if my Dad and my brother's wife will understand.... but Marat woke me up that i am not only Australian, more likely i am Russian!!!!!!!!!!!1

i read from the forum, peopel were depressed, sick of life and even considering suiside, just healed by watching his matches! what a magic!!!!! i think pschologists like my brother will lose their job if there are 5 Marat on earth!

A Typicall Safin Addict
well, I am a Molecular Immunologist, i really should dedicate my life more into medicine than tennis! But i really cant help! Been a tennis fan since 1998 due to that smart, good looking Russian ''bad boy'' named Marat Safin, i am almost addict to his curly hair and wonderful personality...... Logging onto Marat's offical web for almost 1 year, met some other safin fan on and off court/web, i really should write something to let the world know how beautiful we are:
HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU ARE SAFIN ADDICT:
WELL...........SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!
1) You have short nails: as ATP tours travels everywhere in the world, a lots of us wont have live on TV or Web, but how the hell on earth we would miss Marat's wonderful performance, we choose ''live score''. During a long, hard, nervous match, most people get nervous and start biting their own nails! Nowadays he plays so frequent, do you really think any safin fans got long nails?? hard! was chatting to Kathy (a russian lady fan of Marat), she is telling me she is biting her beautiful nail even with expensive nail polish on it... i think people sells nail polish remover love me heaps, 30 mins pre-marat;s match, i always make sure my nail polish is removed for the sake of my health...
2)you are very artistic/artistique: doesnt matter what is ur job, like me Science, or engineer, IT or anything, you are an Artist 1st! why? you have choosen a great player to support! Yes! Marat Safin is the right man! i have to say all safin fans have good taste!yes, everyone!! he is a great piece of art work himself, and we are happend to be the great people to love SAFIN"S ART! !!!! he is not only physically great: 6'4 feet(193cm), slavic looking, has a body that any men would die for it and any women would die to get it...but also a wonderful soul! It touched me so much to read a fan's report in cinccy (2006), even marat was involoved in a tragic car accident, he is still signing autography with dizziness and claiming down the lady driver who crashed him, isnt he lovely and kind? he is a super star to us, but he is so down to earth like the boy next door! i dont think lots of famous ppl will do it! Safin Art is a type of art who lives in people's heart!
3)you are religious--I am not talking about what ur religion is, doesnt matter u r Catholic, Orthodox, Buddhist or Muslim, even you dont have one or never/ever been to a church or temple --- you are equally great to support Marat and his Tennis! and more !MARAT SAFIN IS A RELIGION! CERTAINLY~ he made us ''keep believing, wonderful life is coming!'' yes, he is not only bring us great tennis to watch but also hope of life! back 2005 Aussie Open, i dont think a lot of people WAS expecting Marat will win the title, especially in Australia, people only talked about Hewitt.... Untill Semis, Marat played amazing match to emliminate Roger Federer who is at his peak performance! Marat fight to the end,and won the title! KEEP BELIEVING is the key word for SAFIN RELIGION.
3) YOU are trendy --Doesnt matter if you have to wear suit and tie or uniform, or like me a whit coat. you are very fashionable! MARAT IS A FASHION! to support and love such a player, you are on a great fashion and will NEVER have a fashion desaster.....
4) you are smart --YES of course! you made great choice in life! to love and support marat! he never bring u disappoiment! he has a kind heart ! he has a great relationship with his parents and little sister, aint ppl just kind that him? very! with supporting marat, u will experience heaps of amazing moment, nice catch, aggressiv baseline, wonderful victory! how smart is ur choice! you are really supporting a wonderful human being rather than a mechane (eg Roger), Roger only knows how to hit the ball, with no emotion on his face, he is nothing than a mechane, but Marat is made of flesh and meat, that's why we love him and everything he brings to us!
5)you are emotional--doesnt matter even u work in medical profession, like me, seeing 100s of patients each day and millions of tristing and suffering face and trying to keep ur own face straight with no emotion at all (just doing ur medical testing or diagnosis), i am so used to be cold hearted and no emotion as i am seeing people die everyday with loads of blood and infections. BUT watching Marat;s match, made me full of emotion! i could laugh and being sweet whole day if he played well on the day, and warm and kind to my patients... my work mates just used to that and assuming i had a great night last night or so.... or i would lack of energy and feeling cold if marat played badly and lost his match, i feel hurt in the heart, ppl around me could possiblly assuming i had a catfight with my bf or my brother or so... at 24, i am over the age of being emotional, but with Marat....GOD i cant help! i love him dearly!

Yes, but a nice and sweet one!haha,,i think a lot of us got an extra family memeber----MARAT! i feel like he is my big brother! one day, if there is only one piece of bread left, i would give Marat and my own Brother Kasey 50-50 each! yes, i am closest to my brother Kasey but really i love Marat equally!!i would love to proundly tell the world i have two brothers: one is Kasey and the other one is Marat--he doesnt go home for xmas but out there to play his beloved tennis! i read a fan from LA has named his son safin--after Marat, how sweet! and even "FORCE" his new born little gal to be marat's new fan (without her even understanding at infant age)haha...and a funny one, Dmitri, a funny russian block from my hometown St Peterburg, named his son Safin (2 yrs old) and betting to name his up-coming 2nd son Marat IF russia wins Davis cup! i am just laughing, what happens if he has a 3rd son? goddddddddddddd! people named their kids after Marat! what a love! i am so worried, if i got my kids in the furture, how would i name them???? During a long, hard, nervous match, most people get nervous and start biting their own nails! Nowadays he plays so frequent, do you really think any safin fans got long nails?? hard! was chatting to Kathy (a russian lady fan of Marat), she is telling me she is biting her beautiful nail even with expensive nail polish on it... i think people sells nail polish remover love me heaps, 30 mins pre-marat;s match, i always make sure my nail polish is removed for the sake of my health...
2)you are very artistic/artistique: doesnt matter what is ur job, like me Science, or engineer, IT or anything, you are an Artist 1st! why? you have choosen a great player to support! Yes! Marat Safin is the right man! i have to say all safin fans have good taste!yes, everyone!! he is a great piece of art work himself, and we are happend to be the great people to love SAFIN"S ART! !!!! he is not only physically great: 6'4 feet(193cm), slavic looking, has a body that any men would die for it and any women would die to get it...but also a wonderful soul! It touched me so much to read a fan's report in cinccy (2006), even marat was involoved in a tragic car accident, he is still signing autography with dizziness and claiming down the lady driver who crashed him, isnt he lovely and kind? he is a super star to us, but he is so down to earth like the boy next door! i dont think lots of famous ppl will do it! Safin Art is a type of art who lives in people's heart!
3)you are religious--I am not talking about what ur religion is, doesnt matter u r Catholic, Orthodox, Buddhist or Muslim, even you dont have one or never/ever been to a church or temple --- you are equally great to support Marat and his Tennis! and more !MARAT SAFIN IS A RELIGION! CERTAINLY~ he made us ''keep believing, wonderful life is coming!'' yes, he is not only bring us great tennis to watch but also hope of life! back 2005 Aussie Open, i dont think a lot of people WAS expecting Marat will win the title, especially in Australia, people only talked about Hewitt.... Untill Semis, Marat played amazing match to emliminate Roger Federer who is at his peak performance! Marat fight to the end,and won the title! KEEP BELIEVING is the key word for SAFIN RELIGION.
3) YOU are trendy --Doesnt matter if you have to wear suit and tie or uniform, or like me a whit coat. you are very fashionable! MARAT IS A FASHION! to support and love such a player, you are on a great fashion and will NEVER have a fashion desaster.....
4) you are smart --YES of course! you made great choice in life! to love and support marat! he never bring u disappoiment! he has a kind heart ! he has a great relationship with his parents and little sister, aint ppl just kind that him? very! with supporting marat, u will experience heaps of amazing moment, nice catch, aggressiv baseline, wonderful victory! how smart is ur choice! you are really supporting a wonderful human being rather than a mechane (eg Roger), Roger only knows how to hit the ball, with no emotion on his face, he is nothing than a mechane, but Marat is made of flesh and meat, that's why we love him and everything he brings to us!
5)you are emotional--doesnt matter even u work in medical profession, like me, seeing 100s of patients each day and millions of tristing and suffering face and trying to keep ur own face straight with no emotion at all (just doing ur medical testing or diagnosis), i am so used to be cold hearted and no emotion as i am seeing people die everyday with loads of blood and infections. BUT watching Marat;s match, made me full of emotion! i could laugh and being sweet whole day if he played well on the day, and warm and kind to my patients... my work mates just used to that and assuming i had a great night last night or so.... or i would lack of energy and feeling cold if marat played badly and lost his match, i feel hurt in the heart, ppl around me could possiblly assuming i had a catfight with my bf or my brother or so... at 24, i am over the age of being emotional, but with Marat....GOD i cant help! i love him dearly!
